Who we are
Kenney Construction, Inc. is a locally owned general contractor based in Herndon, Virginia, founded in 2019 by Frank Kenney. Frank has worked in construction since he was 14 and is also a real-estate agent, investor and home flipper, so he looks at a deck the way both a builder and an owner would. The company is licensed, insured and bonded in Virginia, DPOR license #2705187519.
Deck Defenders is Kenney Construction's deck division. It builds custom decks, railings and stairs, screened-in porches and fences, repairs and resurfaces existing decks, and offers free deck safety inspections to homeowners in the communities it serves. This site focuses on inspection, repair and replacement.
How this site relates to Deck Defenders
This is the same company as deckdefendersva.com. When you request an estimate here, it goes to Deck Defenders. The Sterling deck repair project on this site is also on the division's Sterling deck repair page. We built a separate site because deck repair questions in this area turn on county details, like Fairfax's Typical Deck Details, Loudoun's two-permit rule and the Herndon and Vienna town exceptions, that deserve more room than a general site gives them.
How we write this site
- Real project photos only, labeled with the town where the work was done.
- Cost ranges copied from the division's own cost guide and labeled as reference ranges, not quotes.
- Code and permit facts linked to the official Fairfax County, Loudoun County, town or Commonwealth source.
- No reviews, ratings or project counts we can't back up.
